an integrative approach to veterinary medicine
Welcome to SBVIS.
Dr. Hillary Conant is a licensed veterinarian combining the best of conventional veterinary care with evidence-based Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) treatment options.
Her goal is to incorporate a holistic approach alongside your pet’s current conventional treatment in order to offer you and your pet the highest quality of life possible.
She will work in collaboration with your regular veterinarian, or veterinary specialist, to provide a team approach to your pet’s care.
Integrative Medicine:
“A form of medical therapy that combines practices and treatments from alternative medicine with conventional medicine.”
How it works.
Dr. Conant offers highly personalized and specialized care for her patients, combining Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine with conventional care. Whenever possible, she collaborates with the primary veterinarian, board-certified specialists and/or canine-certified physical therapists in order to provide comprehensive management of acute or chronic injury or illness.
Please note that Dr. Conant does not provide full-service mobile veterinary care and her practice is not intended to take the place of the primary veterinarian. If you are seeking a mobile veterinarian to provide primary care to your pet, including vaccinations and wellness care, please visit our Contact Page.
Most of Dr. Conant’s patients are referred to her by the primary veterinarian or specialist. Without a referral, appointment requests are accepted on a case-by-case basis. This is to ensure that basic care has already been provided and that acupuncture, for instance, is safe and appropriate for your pet’s condition.
Prior to Covid-19, acupuncture visits could be scheduled as house calls or at Atlas Rehabilitation for Canines. At this time, treatments are available at your home or office only. Please check back for updates on when in-office appointments may become available again.
